Our client is a leading independent integrated digital marketing agency dedicated to bringing innovative and consumer-centric solutions to their clients around the globe. They are looking for a Digital Media Planner in Minneapolis to join their team. They specialize in customized, scalable strategies that address clients’ marketing challenges in SEM, display, analytics, SEO, content, social, direct mail, email, print and insert, creative, and website development.

The Media Planner is a management position accountable for client’s digital display campaigns. They will work closely with partner media channels to set holistic strategies for their accounts. The role includes aspects of media planning, performance analysis, report building, and traffic management. The ideal candidate will a background in Media Planning/Analytics, have great organizational skills, and experience creating and executing display tactics.


  • Manage daily campaign activities and client relationship
  • Provide reporting insights into social and display campaign metrics
  • Use a strong understanding of business concepts and client objectives to discover and present client campaign growth and expansion opportunities
  • Nurture and grow relationships with partner agencies and vendors
  • Stay abreast of the latest media formats, channels, and technologies with the goal of optimizing campaign performance
  • Act as day-to-day contact for vendors participating in client campaigns
  • Promote a positive work environment with department, company, client and the vendor contacts
  • Foster an atmosphere of trust and credibility with clients
  • Work with the Assistant Media Planner to help grow skills
  • Communicate changes to the field and technical teams regarding our tracking methodology


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 2+ years of media experience, which includes interactive planning
  • 2+ years online advertising industry or digital experience preferred
  • Experience working in Programmatic
  • Strong understanding of the media planning and buying process
  • Experience with comScore and 3rd party ad serving technologies
  • Ability to understand client objectives and how they translate into media strategies
  • Ability to manage day-to-day program execution
  • Sound understanding of performance metrics as they relate to general advertising and direct marketing
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills with the ability to relate concepts and ideas to teammates, clients and other partners
  • Polished presentation skills, comfortable meeting with clients in person and by phone to walk through campaign strategy, performance and optimization
  • Effective reading and listening comprehension skills to identify issues
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Able to manage multiple campaigns and client demands while still providing exceptional service
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (particularly PowerPoint and Excel)
