Director of Digital Media

Our client is a leading full service integrated digital marketing agency dedicated to bringing innovative and consumer centric solutions to their clients.  The Director of Digital Media is a management position entailing all aspects of their assigned client’s digital display campaigns, and taking “ownership” of the client’s media services relationship and staff.  The role includes media planning, performance analysis and client service. 
We are looking for someone with a Media Planner/Supervisor background, excellent leadership skills, and a solid track record of developing and executing media strategy.  The ability to multi-task while under tight deadlines is required.  The Director of Digital Media is also responsible for managing the planning team and helping them develop their skills, as well as evaluating their growth and performance.


  • Oversight on all aspects of client’s display services
  • Work closely with media partners to negotiate buys 
  • Present complex concepts and metrics 
  • Create media objectives and strategies that fulfill client business goals, as well as plans and presentations
  • Communicate changes to the field and technical teams relating to our tracking methodology
  • Evaluate products and metrics and advise how to integrate them with overall platform 
  • A good understanding of Brand and Performance media and how they work together
  • A proven track record of leadership and mentorship
  • Bring industry perspective and foresight to agency, department, clients



  • Knowledge of social metrics and platforms
  • PMD/FMP management experience
  • Experience using comScore and 3rd party ad serving technology (i.e., DoubleClick)
  • 6-8 years media experience including at least 3 years in interactive planning
  • Programmatic Experience (DMP, DSP, exchange)
  • Proven leadership skills and management experience (have managed a team of 3+)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, specifically in Media Plan presentations
  • Diverse account background including some direct response and awareness
  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years (combined) experience with online media planning and web/media analytics and reporting
  • 3+ years digital or online advertising industry experience preferred
  • 2+ years of people management experience required
  • Ability to work with MS Office product suite including exceptional PowerPoint and Excel skills, Access a plus
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in an ever-changing environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Be a self-starter who can work independently as well as part of a team
  • Availability to travel up to 20% of the time
