Director of Search Marketing

Our client is a privately held digital marketing agency who creates compelling campaigns for clients in a variety of verticals. They have done work for Columbia University, Kenneth Cole and Airbnb to name a few.

The Director of Search Marketing will lead the digital marketing team in delivering best-in-class results, while developing and implementing processes and techniques to improve operational efficiency and profitability. They should have previous experience as a hands-on Search Engine Marketing practitioner.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the effort to ensure that digital marketing projects are shepherded through agency from initial briefing to on-time delivery including scope of work, project plans, scheduling, resource allocation, reviews, on-going status updates, quality assurance and archiving
  • Lead the digital marketing team to provide best-in-class service, while creating a positive team culture
  • Work with Chief Strategist in developing strategic direction on digital accounts and oversee the team’s execution of those strategies
  • Oversight of all marketing team projects, identifying problem areas, and applying improvements where needed.
  • Provide digital marketing team members with "on the ground", short-term support on projects to ensure that goals are being met.
  • Manage and evaluate digital processes for efficiencies, quality improvements and advancements
  • Liaise with other team leaders to ensure that processes are integrated on cross-department projects involving digital marketing
  • Manage client budgets and maintain client project plans
  • Ensure that the team adheres to all project deadlines, client commitments, and processes, including use of project management and time tracking systems
  • Assist, on an as-needed basis, with formulating strategies for prospects involving digital marketing
