Group Director of Search

Our client is a leading full service integrated digital marketing agency dedicated to bringing innovative and consumer centric solutions to their clients. They are looking for a Group Director of Search to be responsible for all aspects of their assigned client’s Paid Media campaigns and department. The role includes process and structural management, accounts revenue growth, staff development and assessment and client relationship management. The ability to multi-task while under tight deadlines with team members from various disciplines is required. The Group Director is also responsible for the offering innovation and presentations to the agency Executive Board on a quarterly basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight on all account digital services (Display/SEM/Social) –
  • Orchestrate large-scale programs across multiple platforms; including digital and social
  • Set the strategic vision for all SEM programs
  • Work with Display Directors to execute integrated media solutions
  • Oversee a team that: 
    • Provides insights on results and provides optimization recommendations
    • Handles high level vendor relationships
    • Works with sophisticated bid management strategies
    • Works on advanced analytics
    • Sets strategy, review QBR/Monthly/Weekly and ad-hoc documents
  • Responsible for overall media objectives that fulfill client business goals
  • Communicate changes to the field and technical teams
  • Look at our products and associated metrics - and advise on how to use them with overall platform
  • Be a thought leader with curiosity and aptitude across paid search advertising. 

Requirements:

  • 7+ years Digital Marketing experience including at least 5 years in SEM
  • 3+ years’ experience in group management 
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong understanding of the technology behind Search Engine structure, performance and optimization
  • Diverse account background including direct response and branding/awareness
  • Strong experience using Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics
  • Experience in ROAS/ROI and CPA goal related SEM programs
  • Ability to teach complex systems easily (bid management, algorithm changes, advanced strategy planning)
  • Extreme organizational skills
  • Ability to work with MS Office product suite including exceptional PowerPoint and Excel skills, Access a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, specifically in presentations and speaking to C level executives
  • Available to travel up to 30% of the time
