Head of Performance Marketing

Our client, a leader in developing highly functional and connected pet care products, is seeking a performance-driven Head of Performance Marketing. This candidate will lead the SEM and paid social efforts for their unique pet products. The Head of Performance Marketing will be responsible for the high-level strategy and execution across digital paid media efforts: Google Paid Search, Shopping & Display, Retargeting, Bing/Yahoo, Pinterest, Facebook, Taboola, YouTube, and more. This candidate should be a data-driven digital marketer with a strong background in developing and managing cross-channel, full-funnel, digital marketing campaigns.  

  • Candidate should be well-versed in all paid search and paid social platforms: AdWords, Bing/Yahoo, Shopping (PLA), Facebook ads, Youtube, Taboola, Criteo

  • Candidate should be experienced with advanced analytics: testing and tracking to make data-driven decisions

In addition, the Head of Performance Marketing will be tasked with developing and training a team, bringing all of the performance marketing efforts internally. This candidate must be a self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities and Duties:

You will be responsible for the strategy and ongoing management of all paid search, paid social, remarketing, shopping, and display campaigns. You will also be responsible for a monthly SEM budget that exceeds $250,000+.

  • Define, set, and track KPIs to assess performance and pinpoint issues

  • Keep abreast of PPC and SEM trends

  • Develop and lead a successful A/B testing program

  • Analyze paid search data and make changes to campaigns based on the results

  • Calculate ROI and test bidding models

  • Develop long-term strategy and implementation of short- and long-term business goals and objectives

  • Meet monthly goals

 Quaifications and Skills:

  BA of Marketing and 5+ years of experience

  • 4 years experience with AdWords, Bing/Yahoo, other SEM platforms
  • 4 years experience with Google PLA, Bing/Yahoo PLA
  • 4 years experience with Facebook ads, Twitter ads, Taboola/Outbrain
  • Google Tag Manager experience
  • Experience with website analytics tools (Google Analytics)
  • Experience with Bid Management & Reporting Tools, landing page testing platforms, and app analytics platforms
  • Multi-channel marketing, e-commerce, and/or social media experience
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Excellent project management and organization skills
  • Ability to work successfully with teams on multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Strong understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
  • Strength in extracting concise and meaningful learnings from a vast number of data points
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated expertise in core MS Excel functions (vlookup, pivot tables, data visualization)
  • Established history creating detailed, advanced reporting
  • Programming knowledge — basic understanding is sufficient
