Media Planner

Our client is a leading full service integrated digital marketing agency dedicated to bringing innovative and consumer centric solutions to their clients. They are looking for a Media Planner to be an accountable for all aspects of the clients digital display campaigns.

 The Media Planner will work closely with partner media channels to set holistic strategies for their accounts. The role has elements of media planning, performance analysis, report building and traffic management. The media planner should have great organizational skills as well as experience developing and executing display tactics.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze results and make optimization recommendations while the media is live
  • Use empirical data to improve results for the next buying cycle
  • Oversee all aspects of client’s display tactical elements
  • Provide reporting insights into display and social campaign metrics
  • Recommend audience structure for social and display campaigns
  • Ability to vet and understand strengths and weaknesses of media vendors
  • Work closely with media to vendors during the RFP process to collect and clarify communications
  • Present metrics in a user-friendly way with insights into performance
  • Assist creation of all plans and presentations
  • Ensure accurate budget actualizations and billing
  • Advise and grow skills of the Assistant Media Planner
  • Communicate/Troubleshoot changes to the field and technical teams relating to our tracking methodology
  • Stay informed on industry trends and technology, updating Directors and Supervisors whenever possible
  • Track pacing and performance fluctuations to anticipate client needs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years media experience including interactive planning
  • Programmatic Experience (DMP, DSP, exchange)
  • 2+ years digital or online advertising industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of social metrics 
  • Experience using comScore and 3rd party ad serving technology (i.e., DoubleClick)
  • Experience with online media planning and web/media analytics and reporting
  • Ability to work with MS Office product suite including exceptional PowerPoint and Excel skills, Access a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Diverse account background including some direct response and awareness
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in an ever-changing environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Can work independently as well as part of a team
  • Be proactive about gaining industry knowledge and be able to share it
