Search Account Director

Our client is a privately held direct response agency that was recently named one of the 35 Fastest Growing Digital Agencies in NYC. They are looking for a Search Account Director to join their team.

The Search Director will be the subject matter expert. You will speak directly with the clients, develop strategic media campaigns and earn client acceptance. The team is a passionate group of digital marketers whose goal is to maintain an environment of intellectual leadership while still having fun and loving what they do.

What You Will Do

As the key point person on the client, you will both own the client relationship and present yourself as the most gung-ho person on the client's team while leveraging agency resources to move their business and their brand. You will find yourself immersed in all facets of managing the client’s business.

The responsibilities of this position include (but are not limited to):

  • Responsible for search media strategy and campaign management
  • Understanding the client’s industry vertical and competition within the vertical
  • Develop and implement campaign test strategies in an effort to maximize program effectiveness
  • Analyze daily and weekly campaign results, optimize programs and execute client status reports
  • Manage vendor relationships & understand their roles in our client business
  • Screen new opportunities for clients both internally and externally
  • Work with cross-functional account teams as needed to see campaigns through to completion
  • Create and implement measurable benchmark setting programs that result in actionable results to improve campaign performance
  • Ensure that the latest integrated marketing innovations are applied to campaign management efforts and best practices are employed
  • Other initiatives and projects, as required, to facilitate the client’s growth and service

Your Background

  • BS/BA degree with 5 years experience in search marketing
  • Proven communication, written & organizational skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Hands on experience managing online search campaigns across a variety of vendors
  • Mastery of all basic SEM concepts
  • Complete understanding of bid management systems/practices
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.) with a proven ability to use Excel spreadsheet development, layout and formulas
  • Comfortable participating in new business pitches
