Sr. SEO Manager

Our client is a 9-figure automotive aftermarket e-commerce site currently seeking a seasoned and motivated individual with an enterprise-level B2C SEO background to join their energetic and growing team as an SEO Manager. In this role you will lead SEO strategy and be responsible for driving improved organic search performance for a site with millions of products, pages, monthly organic visitors and revenue dollars.


Content Optimization

  • Audits -- research current site and competitor sites for performance and optimization potential as a basis for program recommendations.
  • Keyword research -- development of keyword distribution sheet mapped to recommended site architecture.
  • Optimization -- Ability to analyze page performance and behavior of users on website landing pages to identify areas of improvement, high performing elements to inform go-forward content strategy, and articulate conversion rate optimization hypothesis.
  • SEO Copywriting -- working with your copywriter, plan and direct creation of marketing copy that also contains a researched keyword profile or theme with optimized terms for web pages, blogs, and assets.
  • Keyword Insertion -- recommendation of where to insert appropriate seed, supporting and semantic keywords into site copy with the ability to convey the reasoning behind each placement.
  • Blog content planning and optimization

Technical Optimization

  • Provide strategies, content, and best practices for site elements that affect SEO: ie. robots.txt, sitemap, schema, etc.
  • Site architecture & sitemap management
  • Forecast changes in our industry and develop specific business requirements to ensure future competitive advantages

Link Building

  • Provide internal linking strategies, recommendations
  • Research, identify and cultivate new link building opportunities & execute high-value strategies

The ideal candidate should have:

  • 8+ years of hands-on SEO strategy experience in a senior role at large company or agency
  • Solid understanding of SEO principles including content marketing and Google's algorithm
  • Experience working with technical teams and creative/web-based technologies
  • Strong knowledge of Google Analytics and SEO Tools such as Ahrefs, etc.
  • Experience working with complex, large-scale e-commerce sites
  • Strong reporting skills that inform strategy and directly correlate efforts to results. Not canned reports provided by tools.
  • History of P&L responsibility as part of the SEO; management and execution of top and bottom line growth, assist in budgeting and forecasting
  • Experience creating and maintaining processes and systems that scale with growth of the SEO division
