VP of Search Marketing

Our client is a privately held digital marketing agency who creates compelling campaigns for clients in a variety of verticals. They have done work for Columbia University, Kenneth Cole and Airbnb to name a few.

The VP of Search Marketing will lead the Digital Marketing team. The role will primarily include strategizing, overseeing execution and performance, as well as communicating with clients.  The VP of Search Marketing will be expected to bring thought leadership, strategic marketing plans for clients, along with expertise in account and project management. This role will also include collaborating with our Design and Development teams on projects that incorporate these other services within our agency. The VP of Search Marketing will be directly responsible for coordinating workflow and implementation of our Digital Marketing services, including ongoing resource planning and allocation for the effective performance of the Digital Marketing team, to ensure success for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Devising digital marketing strategies for clients
  • Effectively delegating to our team of SEO, SEM, and Analytics specialists
  • Overseeing ongoing strategies for clients
  • Developing and deploying procedures for successfully executing our core digital marketing services and implement process changes that ensure organizational efficiency, profitability, and growth.
  • Oversight of digital marketing team members and management of their day-to-day responsibilities
  • Ensuring that all client projects remain on budget and schedule
  • Ensure accurate time tracking and proper utilization of resources
  • Optimize client reporting methodologies, ensuring proper data while also streamlining the process
  • Stimulate and motivate employees through inspirational, positive leadership

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of Digital Marketing, and/or Digital Operations experience, at a digital agency
  • Experience managing a team
  • Deep knowledge of and passion for Digital Marketing - in particular, SEO, SEM/PPC, and Analytics
  • Ability to simplify complex issues and recommend solutions and process changes
  • Experience building and optimizing operations across a high impact business
  • Proven success recruiting and growing a  team
  • Superior organizational, planning, and process management abilities and ability to lead and manage change
  • Training in project management programs, tools, and methodologies
  • Impeccable oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Acute attention to detail, well organized and can manage tasks to completion
  • Excellent ability to be a critical thinker, with problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Work cooperatively with all levels of employees and executive management
  • Ability to take a hands-on approach when necessary, a get things done attitude, while also having the ability to see the big picture
  • A highly strategic, analytical and conceptual thinker who proactively seeks out innovative strategies which foster continuous improvement
