Our client is looking to add a highly-driven Media Director to their team. We are looking for someone who has an extensive background in the planning, buying, executing and subsequent evaluation of media channels that are relevant to drive the client’s business KPIs. Additionally, you should be able to see the bigger media landscape and determine the ideal media outlet mix to drive business results.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the client relationship for agency and client management for traditional media (Broadcast, Print) and related services
  • Engage with senior client executives to align key agency resources to meet client needs and to grow the client’s business
  • Oversee traditional campaign development, and implement engagement campaigns and initiatives that successfully build profitable, long-term relationships with clients
  • Generate new ideas and opportunities to ensure client campaign success
  • Oversee Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting: Manage annual budgeting process, as well as monthly/weekly/daily forecasting and reporting at channel level performance KPIs
  • Identify new channels of opportunity to invest and find incremental reach
  • Build and present comprehensive strategy presentations and business model projects working closely with finance and business leadership on projected media spend & impact
  • Support the Group Media Directors to define the work scope of the practice. Involved in the internal and external hiring, evaluation and retention process to build a top-talent team
  • Support the success of the team by ensuring best in class standards are met and timely applied to client work
  • Provide POVs on relevant media trends for clients and help establish industry recognition for MMI
  • Train and mentor media managers and media specialists

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years as a media professional – preferably working with or for an agency
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience effectively managing teams and inspiring them to deliver their best work
  • Strong management and interpersonal skills
  • Capable of leading in person and over the phone client presentations, with strong emphasis on quarterly business reviews
  • History of successfully pitching business opportunities to existing and potential clients
  • Proven track record of building and sustaining client relationships at a senior level
  • Able to write concisely and present ideas confidently
  • Willingness to travel on occasion for client meetings
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and proven ability to learn and master additional productivity software
