**About the Role**
The Director, Growth is a senior client-facing leadership role responsible for managing a portfolio of retail and ecommerce brands while leading and developing two direct reports.
This is a true omnichannel growth role spanning paid search, paid social, programmatic, display, video, and retail marketplace channels including Amazon, Instacart, and Roundel.
The ideal candidate combines strategic leadership with genuine platform expertise. This is not a role for someone who has moved completely away from execution. The Director will remain close enough to the platforms to understand how campaigns are being built, managed, and optimized and will use that expertise to coach and develop junior team members.
You will serve as a trusted client partner while overseeing strategy, execution, analysis, optimization, and growth across multiple accounts.
The role is based in New York City. The team works in the office on Wednesdays and remotely the remainder of the week.
The salary range is $135,500 to $165,000, plus bonus.
**What You’ll Do**
– Lead paid media strategy, execution, and optimization across paid search, paid social, programmatic, display, video, Amazon, Instacart, Roundel, and other retail marketplace channels
– Manage a portfolio of multiple client accounts simultaneously, adapting strategy, oversight, and resources based on each client’s needs
– Manage and mentor two Growth Account Managers and take responsibility for their career development
– Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact and lead strategic and tactical client conversations
– Develop integrated paid media strategies, including testing recommendations, investment decisions, and optimizations aligned with client business objectives
– Stay close to platform execution in order to coach, guide, and quality-check the work of junior team members
– Oversee campaign planning, activation, ad delivery, and optimization across channels
– Own campaign analysis, reporting, and performance recommendations
– Translate media performance into clear, actionable recommendations tied to client growth objectives
– Connect paid media performance with broader marketing and business initiatives
– Work cross-functionally to ensure campaigns and client deliverables are executed accurately and on time
– Manage workflows, priorities, and project timelines across multiple client accounts
– Help expand client engagements into areas including affiliate marketing, incrementality testing, forecasting, and creative strategy
– Stay ahead of emerging media trends and identify new opportunities for clients
– Develop expertise in emerging AI-driven discovery channels, including Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and answer-engine visibility
– Build trusted client relationships through strong communication, strategic thinking, and consistent execution
– Support audits, pitches, and RFPs that contribute to new business growth
– Travel to client meetings, company meetings, and the organization’s other U.S. office as needed
