We are recruiting for a digital media agency in NYC who specializes in working with video gaming and entertainment clients. They are looking for a Director of Paid Search to join their growing team. This position will be a hybrid work model with 3 days in the NYC office per week.

This role requires experience managing complex and sophisticated Paid Search campaigns. The primary responsibilities in this role are to be the go-to Search expert, successfully leading the day-to-day the Paid Search campaigns; act as the central hub of collaboration and problem solving across various departments and resources including senior level colleagues and senior level business leaders at the client, while delivering against aggressive client objectives. Must have experience in various platforms including Google Ads, Bing Ads, Amazon Marketplace and Criteo.


· Oversees and guides paid search program for all clients, managing multiple lines of business

· Main point of contact for client, third-party vendors, and internal departments for matters involving paid search.

· Oversees work of Search Managers and Analysts. Provides proactive management and coaching, and effectively communicating task execution and timeline requirements, strategic guidance, and constructive feedback to aid in their growth in their core functional areas or responsibilities.

· Contributes to the development and execution of market strategies for Paid Search campaigns, including developing strategic roadmaps, test plans, and risk/benefit analysis; as well as analyzing results and developing actionable insights.

· Responsible for translating objectives from client and account leadership and translating into strategy and tactics for paid search campaign.

· Performs day-to-day support for paid search campaign activities, including bid management, budget allocation, forecasting, performance monitoring, strategic testing, campaign expansion, etc.

· Employs analytical reasoning, data analysis, and problem-solving skills to effectively and efficiently, manage campaigns.

· Demonstrates thought leadership and professional communication skills by developing and delivering client facing materials, such as presentations, Point of Views, business cases, and performance reports.

· Actively monitors and shares industry news, online marketing trends, industry tools, and internal cross-team key learnings, often on the fly at the client’s request.


· Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in SEM and 3+ years managing a team

· Experience in Google Ads, Bing Ads, Amazon Marketplace, Criteo, InstaCart, etc.

– Strong professional presence and communication skills, with experience presenting to clients.

· Working knowledge of set up and implementation of site pixels.

· Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing entrepreneurial environment.

· Ability to analyze data and draw strategic conclusions based on the data.· Bachelor’s Degree is required

· Knowledge and experience in ad trafficking a plus

· Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Expert level in Excel and PowerPoint)

· Strong Microsoft Excel skills: pivot tables, v-lookups, and chart building.

· Additional software skills a plus (e.g., Datorama, Tableau, Google Data Studio, WordPress etc.)

· Segment building experience using first-party customer data and third-party data.
